Valve stats shows Team Fortress 2 current players as 59,377 with peak today 66,337. TF2 Competitive beta group got 97,519 members. So far we had 3 stress test for upcoming competitive TF2. Are we going to have influx of new/returning players soon or will it at least stop people from leaving and jumping into CSGO? Well, I am not sure if we will see revival of TF2 glory days but it's hard to belive that there are less than 100,000 TF2 players. (Anyone knows what is top peak players for TF2 ever?)
